School Circus Visit
The Solid State Circus came and visited our school in week 9. They were amazing. They performed lots of tricks. Our favourites were the fantastic trick when one of the students spun around and around. The other was when they were doing handsprings.

Our excursion to Dorrigo National Park
5/6BT an 5/6AP have been researching aspects of the Great Barrier Reef and rainforests. The common link between the two topics is sustainability and conservation. We were lucky enough to visit the World Heritage Dorrigo Rainforest to learn first hand about what it is like in a rainforest and how we can help preserve it for future generations.
After watching Bear Grylls in the Costa Rica rainforest on the bus we were well primed and prepared for any event or creature that came our way. The NPWS Discovery Rangers helped us learn about the Indigenous significance of the region, animals that live in this climate, stinging trees and their BIG and little leaves, epiphytes, Walking stick palms and there nutritional red berries and how important it is to look after our natural environment.
The air was moist and cool, it was not windy, the light was dull, the water flowed in a hurry down the waterfall….and the leeches appeared to like boys more than girls.
Thank you to all involved for a fantastic educational day.

Splitting white light into the spectrum of colour
In science we have been investigating light and how our eyes see light. This experiment was able to show us how light rays look before it is reflected.
